At work, some of our systems are being migrated to AWS.
The quickest way to learn is to experiment, so it’s time to migrate my personal systems over.
I’ve had a few providers over the years.
- Oaktree (closed)
- A2B2
- FsckVPS
- BurstNet (sold)
- UKFast (purchased BurstNet)
I’ve got no complaints about UKFast, maybe they took a misstep purchasing BurstNet’s customers (myself included) but when I’ve needed help they have been there. They’ve always been more business focused, but there aren’t many providers for individuals now.
I doubt AWS will be cheaper, but there is certainly more flexibility, at what seems to be a similar cost.
